Money, the single most inhuman invention, ironically, by humans. Sometimes, the sole reason of our indifference. And, sadly for some, the sole reason of their existence.
We think the world should not have any constraints whatsoever. We should be able to go to any country in the world. Besides, this world is a divine gift, to everyone and anyone, not just some. The problem is, and always will be, money. Thanks to the need that money brings with it's ownership, people have drifted apart so much, we are now entitled to have social classes. Being "rich" literally means to own a bunch of paper. While being "poor" means the opposite... Is this humanity at it's best? Thank God, the answer to that is no.
Hunter Dorothy, also known as "Patch Adams" first noticed the connection between environment and wellness. He believes someone's health cannot be separated from the health of the family, community and the world. This is probably why he ran a free community hospital for 12 years. After that, he envisioned a free, full-scale hospital and health care eco-communitty.
Did he do anything for the money? No. He did it out of love. Unconditional love. He did it to change the world.
This is what we are about. We want to bring change to Honduras, then the world. We want people to go back to basics. We want you to forget about the paper and start living. There are so many things that money can limit. But it can never cage your heart.
The most important things in life are not given to you through possessions but through moments. These are the moments we create.
"I've never made a penny being a doctor, so that makes it not a job. My sense of a doctor is that one is a presence caring for health. So I'm never not a doctor. People call me from all over the world who are hurting and I care for them. Chatting is what people want, more than anything."
